CV Top Tips

Tailoring your CV to the job description is crucial for you to maximise your chances of getting through to interview. Endeavour uses a scoring mechanism based on the criteria for each role. Make sure to read the job description thoroughly and identify the keywords and requirements mentioned. Then, match your skills and experience with those mentioned in the job description.

Look at your CV and the job specification side by side. Does your CV read like someone who matches the role?

Endeavour does not require applicants to submit a cover letter with their CV, however doing so can increase your chances of being invited to interview. All documents received in an application are scored, so a cover letter is an opportunity to score additional points!

Your application is your chance to sell yourself to Endeavour, so take advantage of it.

Focus on your skills rather than your employment history. This is particularly important for our entry level or graduate positions. Unless your past employment is pertinent to the job role, do not sacrifice details of your relevant skills for paragraphs about summer jobs.

Giving an accurate employment history is important, but remember to give details on your technical experience and showcase your skills.
